A must stay !
We stayed here for 1 night and wished it could be longer ! The staff we so attentive - nothing was too much for them . They even posted our postcards for us ! We were also given an upgrade which was very kind . The breakfast was fantastic as was the roof top pool !
Just ok. A few negatives but overall the price is good for what you get.
It’s an ok option. I like staying in boutique properties and usually go for their best room. It’s better than a five star in the lowest category room. However this time sadly it wasn’t the experience I’d hoped for. The hotel location is great but (like in other reviews) it’s situated right near a VERY late night operating bar that is quite loud. My room (Executive Panoramic Suite) was pretty nice at first glance but the weird round bed had a mattress that really needs replacing. Hot water in the shower was lucky at times. The balcony had a great view of the sea/beach but was quite grubby with old cigarette butts and even an old pair of knickers on it. The other thing that irritated me was the constant sound of chairs scraping on the floor in the breakfast room on level 8 (I was directly underneath on level 7). It was annoying to be woken every morning by that sound. All in all I think that for the money it was good value and if you can overlook the negatives it’s not exactly a bad place to stay but I do feel that there are probably better choices around. Staff interactions were good.
Best Hotel with best staff !!!!
I can’t thank this guys enough… I ask them for some help for a surprise to my girlfriend for her birthday and what they did exceded my expectations. They organised some balloons , rose petals , elephant towels and a big happy birthday above the bed . I work as a manager in a restaurant and I can confirm the service of the staff is 100/10 !! The receptionist was always there for any help I needed , the concierge greeted me every time I passed through reception and the rest of the staff was always polite and friendly. Room was very clean and exactly how it looked in the pictures , the breakfast was a buffet type with plenty of choice and the location is few meters from the beach . If the owner/ manager read this message please take care of your staff because they are really there for anything your customers need . Once again THANK YOU to everyone who works here and thank you for giving to my girlfriend an unforgettable birthday. Wish you all the best :)
Some good points but generally one to be avoided.
Our time at the Del Luna started with my mistake, I had booked the hotel for 3 days at the end of February, unfortunately is was Feb 2026 not 2025 and we discovered this on arrival. The staff were very good in giving us a similar room for the same price and we paid there and then for it, however our booking on booking.com was still outstanding for 2026 and non refundable. They did eventually waive the booking but it did take several reminders and an email to finally get it sorted out the day after we left. So before I review the things we didnt like I would ask the reader to take a quick browse at the 400 or so reviews that I've left and I hope you will see that I'm pretty fair. So on to the hotel itself, the room was very nice indeed with good aircon, a comfortable bed and a well appointed bathroom. It also had a wrap around balcony. Reception staff were generally very helpful. The first negative point was something not the hotel's fault but anyone thinking of staying there should be aware of is that there is an extremely noisy karoake bar either next door or in the very near vicinity. We experienced it one day from 10am to 10pm. The noise permeated everywhere, awful out of tune singing with a massive bass beat and we were certainly not able to sit in our room, let alone enjoy a drink on our balcony. The next one most certainly is the fault of the hotel in the staff that they employ in the form of the chef. He was one of the most rude, arrogant and argumentative people I have met. On our second day I was unwell and unable to get down to breakfast so my wife popped down and asked to take some bread and butter up to me, he was most obstructive but my wife was insistent and carried on, he even chased her to the lift despite her explanation and gestures that I was unwell. On the next day we both made it to breakfast, he met us and asked us if we would like any eggs. We ordered 3 boiled eggs, boiled for 7 minutes. 2 eggs came back, ok maybe something got lost in translation however they were radically undercooked so we asked to send them back. He was insistent that they had been cooked for 7 minutes and most argumentative about it, he made us come over to the egg stations and showed us the water the eggs had been boiled in. It was clear that it was not boiling (ie no bubbles) and we said this. Quite ridiculously he then put his finger in to the water and then took it out slowly saying 'boiling', obviously if the water had been boiling he wouldnt have able to put his finger in it and then take it out slowly. I said that I didnt want to argue about it, our eggs were underdone but he still kept on arguing. I then asked to see the manager as I was clearly getting nowhere and he point blank refused on two occasions. He did however eventually agree to do us three more eggs and once my wife had supervised what he should do we got our eggs. The chefs attitude towards us on both days was rude and arrogant and if he cant perform the most simple of cookery tasks then the hotel should not be employing him. Generally speaking the breakfasts were not particularly good for Western tastes although the hotel caters to Westerners. A token effort was made at bacon and sausage with a couple of chopped up rashers and a couple of sliced sausages left cold on some pieces of break (see photo). The third unhappy aspect of our stay was the tour that the hotel arranged for us to the Ba Na Hills. We were collected am and put on to a coach for the journey there or so we thought until our guide Hoang stopped the bus after 10 minutes and we were herded in to a building and given lanyards with numbers on to wear around our necks. We were then taken in to a lecture room and a lady told us all about how to avoid buying fake jade, pearls and agarwood. Great but we hadnt asked for this and it wasn't on the itinerary from the hotel. We then then taken in to a large sales area with different counters, selling you guessed it, pearls, jade and agarwood, all at extremely inflated prices, probably x5 or 6. I noticed that there was no marked exit from the showroom, just a small door that looked like an office which did in fact turn out to be the way out. So they wanted to keep you in the showroom at all costs, also consider that if there was an emergency such as a fire, the exit was inadequate for the number of people in there and unmarked. We were pretty disappointed at this and arrived later than scheduled at Ba Na Hills. This is not the hotels fault directly but they do sell the tour, we had to pay them in cash for it so no doubt they deduct a commission and as such they need to ensure that their clients are not put in to a situation where they could be scammed. I did complain about this to the receptionist who was very nice but I hope that this will be taken up by the management of the hotel with the tour company as it appeared to be a way of Hoang making a commission (via the numbered lanyards he put on us) out of scamming tourists. So a fairly detailed review, would I stay here again? Not a chance I'm afraid.
